Hey ya'all been awhile since I've been here. Washed my Ex today. Fass fuel pump/filters awhile back, tank level sensor at same time. Been a rough year plus for me but alive and still kicking and loving my 6.0
Good to see you!! Was beginning to think you don't love us anymore :D

Rough year plus 🤕, ex put me through hell lol. Now head is cleared and back to my life. Missed ya all

Hi all, I forgot about this thread. Yesterday I was able to get my new tie rod bar and drag link installed, I got rained out again. So I just need to torque the joints and finish the steering stabilizer. I’m about back in business. I did a back woods alignment with some storefront materials I think I got it close. I’ll still have the alignment done and get the jamb nuts set with red lock-tight.

Got tired of the belt slipping when I'm towing and getting on it. Switched back to the stock clutch from the 7.3 mod.

I had a slipping belt twice. Changing the belt and scuffing the pulley worked for two years. Second time I changed the belt and pulley.

I can’t remember if it was before or after I did the 7.3 clutch mod.

New Bilsteen steering stabilizer put on today. The Ex drives much nicer.

full circle. Date of purchase, to lifted, obnoxious, and lowered back to stock height grandpa truck. Glad it’s finally done.
It’s a tough life pickin’ stones and pullin teets. But as sure as gods got sandals, it beats fighting dudes with treasure trails.

Used her to to tow the fiver a whopping 40 miles to camp out with the in-laws.

First tow since the radiator replacement and replacement of the hot side CAC boots.

Big win: didn't blow off a CAC pipe! This has been a recurring problem for me.

Another post coming with details of the recent CAC pipe journey. Hint: simply replacing the boots didn't completely solve the problem.

My wife has ptsd from a trip where the boots blew off no less than 7 times. spent most of the trip finding new boots since they ere shredded. It all started with the turbo hot side so now there's a bracketed clamp from the alternator.

Why is this thread so hard to find?

On Friday, pulled the fiver for about an hour to Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Campground on Big Creek Road near Cherokee NC. P andulling it home Sunday.

Campground is nice, the staff is great, our site is great, the WiFi supports streaming video, and we enjoyed to short hike to nearby Mingo Falls. We drove to Mingo Falls, where you climb 160 steps and then walk a bit to the view of the falls. Perfect timing, as the area just reopened yesterday after restoration of damage from tropical storm Helene.

Dinner at Native Brewing in Cherokee last night was great. Delicious food and craft beer and good service. We had ribeyes at the camper tonight.

And this is our second trip pulling the fiver where didn't blow a CAC boot. Winning!
