Forscan buzz test, by cylinder # or firing order?

Sorry in advance, I am needy lately.

Doing a buzz test this morning on cold engine, no clicky on #3 & #6 (in order on the test).

Trying to figure out if it is cyl's #3 & #6 or (by firing order) #7 & #5. I presume it is by firing order but need to verify.

Also, I was trying to do an injector disable test yesterday, found it in the forscan (Windows) but could not execute the test to kill cylinders individually. Is that not an option?

Thanks for the quick reply, to make sure I understand, NOT by firing order but by cylinder order? Cylinders #3 & #6 (driver side).

thanks again

Many thanks.

Can stiction cause a failed buzz test?

I appreciate it, I caught it a bit after I did it. Trying to work & do this at the same time. I should focus on one thing at a time.

Those 2 failed buzz test on cold engine, passed on warm engine. I had a a bad cold & warm miss that was throwing codes, the codes stopped nearly immediately after oil change & adding Hot Shot Secret stiction eliminator. Only about 30 miles since the change but appears to be getting better rapidly. Will check again on cold engine by tomorrow morning.

I was planning to do injectors in the future when it gets studs, etc. Trying to buy some time if I can. Have a large trip planned, hope it doesn't bite me in the butt.

Should be in the "vehicle tests" button (left side of the window)
select cylinder cut out and click the "Run" button at the bottom of the window
follow the instructions in the next window

I don't have that option in the tests, screenshots;

I found something similar in the dashboard section, under control but they don't appear to actually do anything when selected.

You are in the correct place -- add all the injector disable to the right hand pane and click OK to exit that window
on the main screen you will see a button to the right of the PCM that has an X in it -- click that - a control window will open where you can disable each injector one at a time
