Speedometer and cruise control not working

So a couple months ago my speedometer went out all the sudden ig sits at 0. The rpm gauge works everything else works except the speedometer and cruise control. Ive changed the sensor on the rear differential. I also try'd hooking up spare speed sensors to the left and right front wheels with no difference. I checked all fuses and nothing is blown. Could a relay switch be bad? Not sure what to do from here. I have been told its gotta be one of those three things. Is that it? I know it worked before and i had a similar issue before and i think i switched a relay but its fuzzy since my motorcycle accident. Things are not always clear in my memory. Thank u for your time guys. I had amazing success here before shooting for it again.

ABS light on?
Any codes in ForScan?
What does your VSS PID value do when driving?
Do your brake lights work properly - especially the Center High Mount Stop Lamp?

Instrument Cluster testing (to see if the speedometer needle will actually move because sometimes they bind and stick):

ODO display testing - you can display the real-time digital information from many things - most notably, Temp, Speed, RPM, and many many others.

There seems to be a slight difference in the way to enter based on model year. I have an 06. With the key OFF, press & hold the Trip/Reset button (Press Setup and Reset buttons at the same time on KR and Lariat editions). While holding the button(s) in, turn the key to the ON position (but do not start it yet). When the word "TEST" comes up, release the button(s) and start the engine. By pressing the Trip/Reset button (reset button for the KR and Lariats) you can cycle through all the things that can be displayed. I have read (have not verified) that on older models, follow the same procedure but instead of the "'TEST" coming on the word "GAGE" comes on, the gauges will then swing to full scale then back. Release the button at that time.

On the KR and Lariat models: You have to hold the Setup and Reset buttons at the same time, then turn key to on - you will see TEST and as soon as you do, let off the buttons and then start the truck - press reset to cycle thru all the options...

GAGE - Carries out gauge sweep (or gage sweep) of all gauges, then displays the present gauge values. Also carries out the check sum test on ROM and EEPROM.

Lastly - this may be applicable for the cruise control:

I have an abs light (forscan) computer shows front right speed sensor and back left wheel sensor my h and s tuner says faulty speed sensor A . Part number 6c3t-10849-ac serial number 2 rom level 060a checksum 0000 nvm 01 060a final date af8d diagnostic trouble code 9352. E023. Vss reads nothing while riding tach values show rpms
Also not showing oil pressure shows 0 value . Test sweep showed all gauges working including speedometer went up and down when tested. And i dont think the break light on the cab is working. Atleast at night taking a video by myself it doesnt show. What to do now.

Troubleshooting w/ a tuner is not very helpful when FORScan (a real scan tool) is so easy to use (and you have it according to your other thread). Tuners can be misleading and not give all the codes.

I asked for the VSS value when driving so we could see if the PCM is at least seeing the vehicle speed.

You can check the brake lights easily by yourself. Put it in park, get a 2x4 and use it to depress the brake and wedge it against the drivers seat support frame or whatever.

ALSO for checking the brake lights - at night, you can CAREFULLY back up close to a wall, and apply the brakes and you can see the brake light reflection off of the wall. We need to know SPECIFICALLY if ANY of the brake lights are working.

Also if you changed out OEM ABS sensors (and rear speed sensor) and installed cheap aftermarket ones, you could easily have created ANOTHER problem(s) to deal with and confuse things. Don't know if you did that or not, but it is important and it didn't seem that you got the codes until after replacing them, but maybe that was just my assumption since post #1 didn't mention the codes. I would hook up FORScan, document the codes, clear them, and drive it to see what codes came back.

The oil pressure gauge on the dash is connected to ONLY a switch. If it is not showing any pressure, you might have a bad oil pressure switch.

The speed signal primarily comes from the sensor on the rear differential and then goes to the ABS controller, which converts it to a speed signal distributed throughout the truck. If the rear axle signal is wonky, the ABS controller can use the front sensors but will set a code that the primary source is faulty.

However, the signals have to be of good quality. If the gap is incorrect or there is too much debris in the oil/grease, it will be a poor signal. If the signals are not getting to the ABS to process correctly, the speedometer, cruise control, and anything else that uses a speed signal will not work.

You can also have a bad ABS controller or electrical connection at the ABS controller.

As Mark has said, the tuner readings are questionable to use.

I believe his bed lights work, just not the cab upper light.

There are posts about that brake pedal switch sharing some sort of resistance with the Center Mount Cab Light and at least in earlier model years it messed with cruise control. I haven't seen it personally, just heard some people talk about it (most of the discovery on this was when going w/ LED lights). I know the different factors here are the ABS codes and the lack of speed indication, but again, just want to verify what "seems" to be the case (who knows if maybe a couple of things aren't happening together).

It could mess up and either kick off or leave on the cruise, but those circuits should have nothing to do with the speed circuit. I think it's two separate cases; possibly, the center light has been out for some time, and I only noticed trying to figure out the speed signal issue.

Sorry guys been a couple days the light on top of the truck does not light up when brake pedal is pushed in meaning cab light but both brake lights on the bed work. The parts are from rock auto where i get most of my parts. Im gunna try and replace the rear sensor under warranty. This is a 2007. Again i believe this happened before and it was a block switch in the fuse box under the hood but since my motorcycle accident things are a bit fuzzy with my memory. Thank u guys for the input thus so far.
