So I have a 1999 Ford F-250 7.3l. The problem I'm having is as we enter the cold winter months I've noticed a significant loss of power. For example, if I let my truck sit overnight and it drops below lets say 32 degrees Fahrenheit outside, when I go to drive it in the morning and don't let the truck run for about 10mins, it won't go above around 35mph. I also get a blowing/fan/shhhhhhhhhhhhhh noise coming from the middle/passenger side of the dash. Sometimes if the engine is really cold and I go to accelerate quick I get a little exhaust/burning smell coming through the air vents. I am very confused as to what this problem could be. Clearly it is turbo related but what part of the turbo? Hopefully you guys can help me identify this problem! Let me know if you need anymore info and I will try to get it to you.
