Well this post must have JINXED me.
Last Friday less than a mile from home my truck starts running real ruff. I babied it home to the driveway and figured it was my low fuel situation, as i was trying to see how far i could drive once the fuel light comes on. So i added 5 gallons to it and it didnt help, so i drain the fuel bowl and the pump wouldn't refill it, but I can hear the pump running, so i removed the line off the back of the pump installed a 5/16" line from a fuel jug and it wouldn't draw fuel back into the pump. So off to Southwest Diesel i went to get a new pump (sells them for$89 on Amazon), so got a new pump and swapped it out and all is good again. BUT the good news is BOSCH has a LIFETIME WARRANTY on their fuel pumps so I got a free replacement sent to me from RockAuto who I purchased the prior one from back in 2012. So a FYI for anyone who has one go bad.
