My bench seat is torn up and extremely sunken down after 305k. I want to put the bucket seats from another obs with the center console seat in my truck. I want to know if they will bolt up exactly to where the bench seats were. If anyone has done this let me know. Thanks,

Mike

i had the factory solid bench in mine not the 40/20/40 split and switched to bronco seats and center counsil all i could do is use the front bolt on both sides from the bench and had to drill the other 3 holes per seat and used a crush nut under the body and it worked out pretty good

What you are describing is the 40-20-40. They came in 94-97 trucks
The seat frames are cab specific
Regular cab and crewcab, use the same seat pan.
Supercabs use a different one.
Broncos use a different one again(they never came with a 40-20-40 anyway)

late 80's had the 40/20/40 too and will bolt, and what cab do you have

Upgrade to a set of SD seats... Ditch the factory seat pan, with slight mod to SD seat brackets they will bot right up...

I had to drill all new holes to install sd seats, and beat the tabs a bit up front to go down the slope of in front of the drivers seat, the rear I just bolted to a modified factory seat pan, removed marked holes filled the old ones with silicone, put the carpet back in and drilled the carpet and bolted all the seats down, took a while to get it all aligned up, if you go sd than be sure to have a free weekend and some help, but so worth it, as soon as I get my computer back from the shop I can post piks too

You never see regular cabs with bucket seats. My crew cabs bench seats are way to comfortable to even think about getting rid of them and I love bucket seats.

I pulled mine out of an 89 crew cab. There were two rows of 40/20/40s in the cab. They were not at all the same ones that came in the 94+ models, but they were 40/20/40s. Now do I know if they were FORD factory seats? No. They could have been from an aftermarket or custom builder like Centurion. But they were designed specifically for the F-series cab floor. They bolted perfectly up to the seat bolts in my '90 reg cab.

Not arguing, just saying I've seen 40/20/40s in late 80's F-series trucks. :ford:
