For those who have had to replace their batteries on their Scorpion, how long are they lasting? It sometimes amazes me that the 60 month batteries will last 59 months and 29 days! (my last truck).

Go to your local Napa and buy Napa 7235 batteries group 31 and never look back.

I will NEVER buy another interstate battery again. HORRIBLE customer service and batteries didn't make it 2 years and if you put them in a diesel the warranty goes to 1 year.
I think you need to check again.. Interstate batteries have a 24-30 month free replacement and a 5-6 year prorated warranty on batteries for the 6.7.

And what is so bad about their customer service? If your battery test fails, it is replaced within the warranty guidelines... It's not like it's a "can't duplicate the issue, please be on your way" like dealerships.

because I bought interstates for my 6.4 and within 2 years you couldn't listen to the radio for 15 minutes without them going dead. I took it to batteries plus and they both tested bad, took them to auto zone and both tested bad took them to interstate and viola they were fine. He then told me it didn't matter because in a diesel they only have a 1 year warranty. It was 5 till 5 and I told the manager I wouldn't leave until they did something so they ended up giving me one for free but I had to buy the other. I will never buy one again.

Ok, I can accept your situation and what you experienced as a negative one. However i will say that every company out there has a complaint lingering somewhere.

Not sure which battery you had but straight from their website they list 2 batteries with the warranty I described.

Car and Truck Automotive Batteries - Buy a Vehicle Battery for Cars or Trucks | Interstate Batteries - Automotive / Truck 2013 Ford F-350 V8/6.7L

Not defending their actions.. just saying that I don't believe that is the norm with them.

I'm going with the 850 CCA motorcrafts myself.
When you go Motorcraft, 3 year replacement, 4 additional years prorated and the dealer installs them for free. It's a good choice for a fair price. Never had an issue with them when I bought my 2nd set for my 07 and that motor cranked much harder then the 6.7.

I think this is all up to opinion. Everybody has a good or bad experience with some particular brand. Strokinpower already said it, "there's only 2-3 battery manufacturers in the world" and those 2-3 make every major readily available brand of battery. There are a few that are different, Lifeline Batteries comes to mind. Insanely expensive, but if you really need a good battery....

Same is true of engine oil. The generic store brand is always a rebranded "name brand".

Don't fall for hype and advertising. Buy the battery that has the best warranty with the same or better CCA.

Reviving this thread since my truck is dead at home. How about Duralast Plat AGM's? They got really good reviews, only downfall is they have a 3 year warranty and 750 CCA. Saw that people didn't like Interstate as that was my next option. Ford will be closed by the time I get out of work to see if they have any in stock.

Not to compliment the Duralast brand because its been a good and bad gamble for me with them but at least Autozones are everywhere if it ever goes out early and they are open past 5pm. I through a set on my 2004 6.0L in 2012 and they lasted past the 3 year mark before I sold it.

I just went to the local sam's club (located everywhere) and grabbed two new duracell's and threw them on. 3 year free replacement. I don't get the fascination over having big name brand batteries like the optima's and what not.

I put Exide AGMs in my 6.0 two years ago, 36/84 warranty. Currently $135ea at Rural King

Ended up going with Motorcraft Max 850's. I couldn't pass the deal up. They were on "rebate" at my local dealer (even though there was no form or anything, ha) and got them for $130 a piece with the 36/100 warranty on them.
