First post so pardon if I step on any moderator toes. Just haven't found much about this issue here or anywhere else.
Early model 2004 6.0 psd. 220k Miles. Mainly stock aside from a blue spring, WW, and straight pipe. Tuner for monitoring, but still run a stock tune. (Tuner was not installed at the time of this issue though)
Noticed I had my rev limiter before performing a bit of work. It would hit in the normal range about 4100 or so.
I changed injectors (all 8 with stock motorcraft) and used forscan (all I had at the time) To reset pcm adaptations since the injectors were new.
Truck runs fine. No issues whatsoever but I noticed my rev limiter is gone. Took me a while to notice since I don't drive it rough.
Is this a programming issue? Did I unintentionally delete it when I reset adaptations? Is this something Ford could reprogram? Doesn't cause any issues since I try to keep my rpms in a moderate range, but I just have to be mindful that it won't hit the limiter if I do get there.
Thanks for any help and advice. I appreciate it.
