I have to ask why you want to do this but I dont see why it wouldnt work just so it is properly sealed

 

Because it's a pain in the balls trying to find aftermarket tips that fit stock 3.5" tubing. I found a SWEET tip but the only fit 4" inlets. Which blows. Because I really want it.

get you a band clamp. it will let it seat and fit correctly.... i had one on my truck before i did my exhaust and it did great

yea bc its only a 1/4 of an inch all the way around it... i took some aluminum foil and made my 3.5 pipe a lil bigger by wrapping it with the foil... it sound ghetto i know but once you put that band clamp on there you cant see any of it.


Mine was like that for about 3 months and i had absolutely no problems.

 

well you really dont need a seal you can just put any kind of spacer in there. Or just weld it in place you dont need to weld full circle
