I was highly hesitant to try an oil additive but I had a bottle of archoil ar9100 laying around that had passed the return period and had just put fresh oil in, so I figure I better pour it in since I paid for it. What positive or negative experiences have people observed with Archoil?

I was highly hesitant to try an oil ...
I used it with my last oil change. The truck sounded a little better from start up. I also put in the fuel treatment. I was having a little more smoke at start up and until the engine reached operating temperature that I thought was normal. Now there is no smoke and the engine does seem to respond better to throttle, sounds a little better. It does make a noticeable difference I am glad to pay for - unless I have to do it again soon. I would do it once a year, but I am not going to do it with every out change.

I have used it for 50K miles, my last 6 oil changes (7500 miles interval) with Rotella T6 5W-40 & Racor filters. I was not having stiction issues and choosing to not have any! I felt it was insurance even though it is not cheap. I also use the AR6200 fuel treatment ever fillup (13-15ml per 30-35G). Owning a diesel is not cheap... and chose this as preventative maintenance.

I use it every other oil change in my 6.0 and 7.3 along with T6 14W40 and Motorcraft filters. Never had a stiction issue and found no need to run it every oil change

I'm an Archoil user too...every oil change with Mobil1 TDT 5W-40. I also put some in my corn flakes every morning for breakfast 😁

I use AR9100 in every oil change (Rotella T6 5w-40). My truck used to stumble all over itself until everything was up to temp. My injectors were in **** shape.

Now I can fire the truck up, let it idle for a moment while I situate everything, and it drives down the road without so much as a hiccup.

I have my oil inspected by Blackstone after every change. After I started using the additive they noted the increase in Boron, Potassium, and Sodium.

I thought it was all snake oil but I got a free sample from Mr. Bill Hew.....some guy online....and it made a believer out of me.

I use it every other oil change as well. No issues so far (currently at ~ 218,000 miles). Started with the stuff around 50,000 miles ago.

I like to think it’s doing something for me. ;)

When I had my 6.0l’s I did the same as Backhoe every other oil change I put it in and got rid of the stiction. The first truck I didn’t plan to keep so it worked well. The second and third one I had it also helped a ton.

worth it esp for a 6.0l getting up there in miles and with cold weather areas.

I discovered Archoil while researching my stiction in cold weather issue at 180,000. It definitely helped. So I used it every time winter came around after that. I replaced the injectors when I did head studs at 258,000. So now I put it in every 6 months or so to keep the injector spools clean from varnishing.

I have been using it religiously for years every 5k. I recently had an oil analysis done and there was no mention of it being a positive or negative to the engine's health, but they made mention of elevated potassium and boron and minor sodium which makes it hard for them to find coolant dilution in an engine.....but since I don't have an issue I am not concerned. My bearings look good and I am sure it is a combo of the frequent oil changes and 9100.
I use it as a preventative for stiction and the friction modifier properties couldn't possibly hurt my engine.

I've never heard anything negative about the stuff. I use it, RevX, or hotshots.
