Hi guys I'm sure by the post you can think of tons of other posts related to this topic so if I couldn't find it and you have already seen an answer feel free to direct me to it. Anyways here's my problem. My truck would start with some sputtering and would run as such until warming temp and until it was warm would show the p0475 EBPV Malfunction. So then it would warm up and run great. But now it doesn't go away and has so much power loss it feels like it's being choked out. I tried finding the plug for the EBPV to try unplugging it and see if disabling that helps but I can't locate it. My apologies for my ignorance, I'm new to all this stuff. I'll post pictures of it if anyone can help me find it or maybe if that won't do the trick what my other options are. Thanks in advance

Nope. No smoke. Just hard start, rough idle, then shakes when driving with heavy power loss. Sometime when I put the pedal to the floor and push it hard then the SES turns off and it runs clean until I coast back down to about 55 and touch the pedal again then the code comes back and she starts sputtering again.

There isn't much there that can go wrong... Are U sure U don't have a bad injector... The code U have will be there not necessarily throwing an SES light... But with it being unplugged that explains your SES. I'd be more leaning towards injector issues

That's what I originally thought too. Would it send any codes for misfiring cylinders for that? It started out where it wouldn't it run like this for 1 minutes until it warmed up then would run fine but as time went on it would take longer and longer for the code to clear itself until now it doesn't at all. Should I go for the ol' deadpan in the fuel filter and try my chances on that?

It almost sounds like a stiction problem. I had a similar problem In my 96 7.3 and running an oil change with Hot Shots oil additive helped tremendously. I use it regularly and have had no more injector problems. I was very hesitant because I'm not an additive guy. It does work though.
