Who did you buy this from??!?:dunno: You should have received detailed instructions. I hope one of the vendors on the .org didnt sell you this without instruction

 

I purchased it from Raul @ stealth auto. The box came directly from innovative. I did download the zip file and unzip it but my computer does nothing when I double click the .sys file so I can't install the software.:dunno:

 

the .sys file will not open it's not an executable file. try that link i posted above. see if that helps you with anything

 

The link is informative but it doesnt help.

Am I supposed to connect the x3 to my computer and then steer it to the .sys file?

The little video says you should have software first.

I am glad I just bought a 12 pack of guiness, because i'm starting to get frustrated!

k, I basically downloaded everything then installed what could be. It worked. Now when I open the new program (Updater) and attempt to update the firmware I get an error.

"FAILED TO WRITE BULK DATA: DEVICE #0"

Guiness #2. I don't think it helps that my last name is "Murphy"

 

you were able to download the firmware off the sct site ??

and followed these directions
How to use the X3/LW Updater Software:
To update your X3/SF3/LW device Firmware:
1) Download and install X3/SF3/LW Updater Software.
2) Download and save the latest firmware for your Device.
3) Setup X3/SF3/LW for a firmware update:
X3/SF3 -> Press and hold the Cancel button on the X3/SF3 device while plugging in the USB Cable.
LW -> Press and hold the Jog Wheel on the LW device while plugging in the USB Cable.
4) Open the Updater Software and press the Update Firmware button.
5) Browse for and Select the firmware file when prompted (*.LWU).
6) The firmware update will begin transferring the new firmware to your device.
