Got news from the dealer that my FICM is bad and he wants $1200 for the part plus labor to replace. I looked on line and can by a reman for about $450 from O'Reilly. (I was just looking for a comparison cost and haven't looked at other parts stores)

What is the possibility I could do this myself?

Easily, but take a look at Swamps FICM first.

replacing the FICM is easy. It is behind the wheel well plastic on the driverside fender. If you remove the plastic wheel well you will find the FICM. You just need to get a replacement one. You could go aftermarket modded FICM. Or you could go Replacement OEM. Or you can go OEM.
