I just did mine. Its not that bad at all. Two bolts on the drivers far side at the door and one on the passengers, then there is one in the middle that you have to remove the lower center dash to get. Then the 4 on top at the windshield. Unplug the wiring harness then it pulls right out. NOT BAD AT ALL!

 

im looking to do the same here soon do you have to pull the steering wheel to get it off or can u get away with not doing it?

 

You do have to pull the steering column. Its FAR easier to pull the whole dash metal frame and all, and the steeing column mounts to the dash. Its not bad either tho, 4 bolts, shifter cable, unplug the harness, and one bolt to the steering shaft and it slides out, steering wheel and all.

 

well i guess i didnt elaborate i just want the plastic panels because i am going to dye them would i need to pull the column for that?

 

Well i think yes because the dash vents and ducts screw on from the back side , so to pull the plastic off you would have to. I cant see any other way unless you break the screw off and not put them back. I think even if you tried to get them it would be eaiser to pull the whole dash then take it apart out side the truck.

Ya, definitely have to pull steering wheel. Just did mine as well. The vent ducts are sort of a ***** lol.
