check the wires, if it can't monitor the RPM's, for instance, it won't even try and start. There could be several other things, but an unconnected or shorted out RPM wire is most likely the culprit.

 

that is not something that delete caused or dealer could even closely relate it to delete? jus worried a dealer will document its deleted first of all and then deny the fix as well then iam officially bent over on warranty work from now on

 

What exactly is it doing? Symptoms help diagnose issues.

I've heard a weak battery can cause remote start not to work. Never verified but worth testing batteries.

 

My pickup does the opposite when the batteries go bad. It will start with the remote but shut off with the key. It’s weird. However I agree. Worth checking the batteries.

 

If there is a CEL or DTC stored, remote start will not work. It will beep. Clear any codes and then try the remote start. Also, After 3 attempts, a key turn is required.

 

Have you had the hood open anytime recently? Maybe check and see if the hood switch sensor is not messed up or unplugged. Hopefully it's something as simple as that.

 

On all my Ford's, if a check engine light is on, it will not remote start. Just gives a single honk instead of starting. My 2011 Mustang did it after I changed the exhaust and before I got the tuner to turn off the rear O2 sensors. As soon as I got the tuner, I installed the intake, cleared the codes and remote start worked again. My 2015 Explorer Sport this happen three different times and each time, the CEL was on.

Back a few months ago, my new 2017 F250 had one of the batteries crack due to a manufacturers defect. It lost charge and only the passenger side battery was working. Remote start still worked although the push button start wouldn't work most of the time until I got it to Ford.

Hopefully, it's something easy. Even being tuned and deleted, the issue would technically have to be caused by the tune or the deletes for them not to fix it. They could, if they're jerks, void your power train warranty though.

 

Have you checked to make sure Remote Start is enabled? I would start with the simplest fix first. Go through the menus in the dash cluster and find the remote start settings and make sure it's turned on.

After that, start checking for DTC's, CEL's, hood switch, etc.

right..... so now I have lots troubleshooting I have already checked the remote start being enabled , also it worked once now it won't work again. so ill check and see and be back. after the "dust settles" lol

 

ok.....it works its my own fault I was used to my raptor remote start its more instantaneous. IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!LOL. MY OWN STUPID FAULT

yea not used to the delay my raptor doesn't do that ........ my fault after I got on here crying bout it LOL
