Punisher Decal w/ Thin Blue Line...Good Idea?

Hey everyone,

Sort of an off topic question but i would rather have the opinion of other Powerstroke owners on this than a bias news source. So i bought a Punisher decal with a thin blue line down the middle to show support for vets, armed forces, and emergency personnel (not to mention it looks bad ***). After buying this i looked further into the Punisher logo as I've only known about it through friends in armed forces or media. Supposedly cops stopped using the Punisher logo in conjunction with the blue line because the values of each logo conflict, as the persona Frank Castle was looked at as an outlaw SEAL. My premise for this discussion is to ensure political correctness, as in 2018 a blue lifted 6.7 with a Punisher logo and thin blue line may come off as arrogant, especially if the meaning contradicts itself.

Anyone who is familiar with these logos and can provide subjective insight would be appreciated!

All the best,
Joe

Don't worry about others opinions and put one on if you want. Show your support for vets. Just don't put a rainbow sticker on your truck and you'll be good to go.

When I bought our truck it had this Chris Kyle sticker on it. I took it off because it was peeling on the edges and looking old. I'll probably buy a new one and stick it back. Below is what was on my truck when I bought it. Previous owner was a vet.

I came across this story when finding the logo. Interesting reading. I hope Kyle's widow wins the suit.

The thin blue line in whatever form you see it symbolizes police or support for police. My opinion would be wherever I saw it and in whatever form I'd be seeing it in, it shows someone in support of law enforcement and all that they sacrifice.

I think the melding of the punisher logo and the thin blue line is just marrying up support for law enforcement with a bad *** looking skull. I wouldn't read too much into it.

An outlaw SEAL?? There's various depictions of the character....FBI, USMC Sniper, ex-cop, etc etc etc......

Cops have to embrace the suck it such a bad way now. They aren't their to stop crime, they have to be part of the community. It's the way it is.

jiaquinta,

I would run it with no regrets if it represents the values you stand for. I ran one on my 08 that I just sold and loved it. I've just got to order a new one for my new truck now. I think worrying about offending someone that doesn't agree with you contradicts with the very freedom that our military and law enforcement are fighting everyday to protect. But then again, that just my opinion... :flag: 'Merica!

The only problem now a days is the cowards on the left would have no problem vandalizing your vehicle for a sticker that offends them. And since they're offended by everything, you make your vehicle a target and run the risk of jail if you catch a snowflake in the act and respond appropriately.

With that said, I hope everyone turns out en mass to vote against socialism in tomorrows election!

I haven't checked this thread in a while as i did not think it would have had so much input, much appreciated all! I just wanted to pick some brains on the forum in terms of the relevancy of logos like Punisher vs. a Molan Labe decal, not that one is better than the other of course. I understand that many of you on this forum have served in our armed forces which is why i value the opinion of what you all think versus some snowflake staring me down in traffic. After some searching i found a Molan Labe decal that looked much cleaner aesthetically than the Punisher logo and ended up going with that. It has the Thin Blue Line as well so it compliments the Blue Jean Metallic well. I'll post a pic sometime today.

Merry Christmas All,

Joe
