I got this code on Wednesday last week P0093 Fuel System Leak Detected Large Leak, and the truck completely died on me I was going fast down hill pulling my Polaris and went to pass someone, so I mashed the skinny pedal and then it died on me, my diesel mechanic told me that the pickup tube in the tank could of not been supplying enough fuel so the computer shut truck off to protect it. So the only way to fix this from happening again is to put in a low pressure booster pump in. I have 25,600 now on the truck and I change the oil and fuel filters every 5K Miles with the ford full synthetic oil. So I hope nothing will go out on me yet. It has been deleted since 1,300 miles.

Hey Big Blue_08

i am new to this site. I have been on the Ford Truck Enthusiasts site for a while. I came here looking for some answer. This is my first post here. When I saw your post with code P0093 my heart stop. I have been fighting this problem for three months. It start with the low fuel pressure warning and reduced engine power. I took it to the dealer several times and they could find nothing wrong. Finally the truck just quite and had to be hauled in. They replaced the lift pump at 46K. For 2 months every thing was fine. Then one day the truck hust quite with no warning. I scanned the codes and P0093 came up. The truck started up and ran fine with no check engine light. This was on a Sunday, so I took it to the dealer Monday morning. Left the truck for two days and they could fine nothing.

The truck ran fine for two weeks and then one morning in rush hour Atlanta traffic the truck shut down with no warning. Still no check engine light, but the code P0093 was storied. With no power steering or brakes the ride was exciting to say the least. The truck restarted and I took it to the dealer. Ford approved them to look at the high pressure system and they found metal. After 4 days Ford approved the replacement of the high pressure system under warranty. The truck now has 67K miles on it. It took 7 more days to get the parts. I took delivery of the truck on a Saturday morning and it did not make home. Low fuel pressure warning again. The dealer replaced the lift pump again. the truck ran fine for 5 days and the low fuel pressure warning again.

The truck has not been in the shop for 25 days. The truck is sitting in the dealers lot waiting for a Ford factory engineer to come look at it. I hope your luck is better than mine. I see all these F250 running the road and I just wonder why mine is a POS. I change the oil every 5k and fuel filter every 10K. I have spent $4,500 on maintenance at Ford dealers the last 15 months. The dealer has been great, but they can only do what Ford will let them do. Ford's customer service on the other hand sucks. I wish I could get my customer to wait 25 days for me to fix their issues. Sorry to rant. I am sure my case is the worst case possible.

My truck is now at the second dealer. My local dealer replaced sensors and a fuel flow valve with no change. So since their diesel guy left i had to have it towed to the dealer where i purchased it which was the next closest one. No call from them yet as it arrived to them during the weekend. Hope to get it back soon. Been gone about three weeks.

Hey fellas I had similar problems with mine. Can't remember what code it was throwing but it happened a few times where truck would die tried to reinstall the tune I had on it and that worked once. Second time I lost power steering and brakes. Turns out it was a bad fuel pump. Not sure if that can help you guys out but just wanted to throw my 2 cents in. Hopefully you get it worked out

I feel your pain. I just sent 36 days in the shop with the same issue. Here is some advice. If you use the Motorcraft PM22A fuel treatment, the little cardboard disc will stick to the top of the bottle and in up in your tank. Please have the tech RR the tank and look in the sending unit. The disc is hard to find.

They looking in my tank twice without finding it. It took the third time to get it right. Good Luck

Since I posted last I now have had to replace my turbo, caught it before it went out all the way, added a Fass fuel system, and low and behold when the dropped the tank to install the fass they found small metal particles in my tank, so I had to replace the HPFP Luckily I was getting the fass installed otherwise I would of been SOL if I hadn't. Oh I swapped to a 2016 turbo, had gear-head tuning redo my custom tunes for a 2016 turbo. And am now having to have the main wiring harness replaced, for a ghost short that comes and goes. So to replace the harness the ac condenser, secondary and primary radiators have to come out, so I going back in with the new updated mishimoto radiator, and there low temp thermostats. And had all Icon shocks rebuilt, and have had all of my aftermarket accessories wiring redone and cleaned up. I will post pictures when i get it back.
