I am having the same problem with my 2014 F350 Super duty, 6.7 Power stroke diesel truck. I replaced the fuel filter, both. But the check engine light is still on. I disconnected the battery, both of them because I did not know which one was the main battery, for about 30 seconds, then reconnected them (hoping to reset). But the engine light was still on...I am stumped...can anyone help? And yes, I know, I should take it in. But, the scheduling is crazy out here and I don't want to drive it too far...which is about 45 miles away.

Yes. When the light came on, I drove it for another 100 miles. Then I parked it, and changed the fuel filter. But the light is still on. And my warning light on the dashboard comes on. I assumed it would be an easy fix after changing the fuel filter. Or perhaps someone might know if there is a step I missed when changing the fuel filter...? Hmmm.

Well we need to know what code is causing the light. Like I said Forscan is free to download and the adaptor is $50. Less than the filters you bought. This is essential for us to point you in the right direction otherwise we're just shooting blind. If it runs fine, get it to a shop if you prefer.

That's high pressure side code. Rail pressure sensor, regulator, or cp4. Most people buy a new oem rail which had both devices included, if that doesn't fix, cp4 is next. You should be able to tell by pulling the rail if there is metal debris in the system. If so, don't bother putting the new rail in. My guess is sensor or regulator since you say it runs good still. I wouldn't drive it much or at all out of precaution though.

I can't remember but I think I had the same code, I replaced the driver's side fuel rail. The new rail comes with the fuel pressure regulator/sensor on it. You can DIY it wasn't that hard. You will need either the fuel line tool, notch a socket, or use the crows feet wrench adapter. I went to harbor freight and bought the crows feet wrench adapter. I want to say it took like two hours.
