Oil leaking from inter cooler tube

Did an oil change and realized I had a pretty good amount of oil leaking down onto my trans. Through further inspection I found the origin of the oil leak coming from left end of the inter cooler tube that connects to the turbo? It seems to be a slow drip type leak. I know there is suppose to be oil in there but why is it leaking? Thanks in advance!

First things first if your talking about an intercooler tube then NO there shouldn't be oil in there lol. That is oil build up from Your Crank Case vent box, which dumps oily residue back into the intake just before the turbo and it will make its way through the Intercooler tubing and back into the intake manifold's. I deleted my Crank Case vent box with less than 5000 miles on the truck to get rid of this issue. Look up Maryland Performance Diesel CCV delete or No Limit CCV delete and this will eliminate the oily residue going back into your turbo and intercooler piping.

Oh and welcome to the Forum.

I would like to add something I found on my truck after 160k miles of driving the EGR throttle body was COMPLETELY plugged with oil residue when my cold side intercooler pipe blew off. CCV delete kit already ordered. Cleaning the EGR housing out was a pain. My truck is deleted but it doesn't help stop the oil from plugging up everything. Thank you to DMSRACING for putting me on to the CCV deletes!

Going to revive this. Is this a delete that can be taken off for warranty purposes? And I'm assuming there is no tune needed for this delete? Not really looking to void my extended warranty but would like to not have my engine bay look like my 6.0 looked with the ccv.

I'm 99% sure that's correct. Can't verify for sure since I did my CCV delete well after my DPF and EGR. I do know that sensor that plugs into the vent line, just before the lower intake attachment, doesn't look like it does anything at all. Unplugged it when I installed the CCV kit and didn't throw any type of code.
