When I turn the ignition switch on everything lights up but starter doesnt wont work. Batteries are fully charged, I switched starter relay and still doesnt have power. It was working fine till I pulled all the mini fuses to find the one blown for trailer taillights. Is there anyway to test the 5 post relays to check if they are bad. Stranded please help

Do all the starter wires have a good connection?

yea, its been working fine I put ohm meter on starter wire and no power coming thrugh it when key is turned on. I can hear the relay in fuse box under dash clicking when key is turned on

Have you tried pulling up on and/or wiggling the shift selector or trying to crank in neutral (assuming auto trans here)? Could be a safety switch issue.

the wire from the battery to the starter is hot, but the wire that sends power to starter/ solenoid when key is turned has none. I jjumped across the posts and starter spins but does not engage.

Your not gonna believe this, I hit starter with hammer, nothing, put ohm meter on small wire on solenoid turned key to start, no power. I could hear the starter relay in fuse box clicking when key turned so I knew it was good. So I thought maybe the starter just quit, it went out about 8 yrs ago I was sitting in burger king drive through, switched truck off so they could hear me, went to start it and nothing, starter just went bad had to replace. Ok here is the part you wont believe, I decided to go through the mini fuses, trying anything before I took starter off to go have it tested, I found a 20 amp mini fuse that was for the dash power point/ cig lighter that was blown, I replaced it and starter fired right up. I kid you not.

When you look at the left side of the fuse box there are two vertical rows of mini fuses, it is the fourth down from the top on the first row from left. The book calls it f2.4 it is the yellow 20 amp. I just talked to a friend that runs a body shop, he said his 2000 did the same thing and the only way he found what was wrong was when he plugged a computer into the cig lighter and it wouldnt come on and when he checked and replaced the fuse the starter worked again. Go figure!!

Howdy Everyone , this was a great resource in my desperation with NON Start with a 2011 Ford F-350 . IT WAS THE DANG Starter RELAY . It would click and do what one would expect sound wise and even feel wise. However it never engaged all the way . Ran a jumper to confirm its failure . Roooommm away we ago once replaced.
Procedure I followed , removed wheel hub cover on starter side, placed dc volt meter on small solenoid, on key turn no power to cable / terminal point of solenoid post, look in manual for starter relay, remove, check voltage at the middle prong insert, then turn key on take cable jump middle post to lower and it should crank right up.
