I saw a lot of back and forth on social media about this tune but no proof one way or another, so I figured I'd try it out for myself pnce and for all......

Here's the truck

1st run was 4th gear and the next two were 5th

After messing around with it a lil more, most I got out of her

So here are my final numbers......first run was the baseline

If you take the average of the 5 runs it comes out with 404.6/919.8 with 406 and 924 peak

So is the tune for mexican-sold trucks?

I got into an argument with BD-Power on Facebook the other day over "mexico tune" legitness. I too live in south texas, and I have seen plenty of mexico-origin 6.7 equipped trucks without emissions from the factory, they're just detuned a bit. They laughed and poked and prodded at me. Northerners, I tell ya.

Although mexico DOES have emissions laws...supposedly including DPF and EGR and SCR now...I still see 6.7 trucks coming from there with no emissions only a factory muffler ???

Reguardless...awesome.

That is part of the humor of the "mexico tune"......a Mexican F250 2017, from what I understand, also has the DPF, DEF and EGR, so to take a "tune" from Mexico, it still needs to be "deleted".....

But as you can see, for now it makes good power, and with the new handheld, you don't have to send your computer off be with out your truck for at least 3-4 days, you can do it the driveway of your house in minutes

I have about 8k on mine
Its got the same power at any rpm after turbo spools, more i would say than stock over 2000. I liken it to driving a two stroke almost the way it "hits" when the turbo lights.

I havent seen a noticeable mpg gain.
