we have a work truck that started this...and before it got fixed or noticed...it fried the fuse panel and module and left the truck stranded at a job site giving all the symptoms of the overdrive harness freying. so...make sure u get it looked at and fixed asap so you dont end up with a costly repair bill

 

Can you see it dripping or wet spots around the silicon on the edge of the glass? If you look in either of the bottom corners of the glass, there should be a manufacturer stamp. That can tell you a lot. If the molding on the outside doesn't sit flush with the body, thats also a sign that it has been replaced cheaply.

Thats what happened to mine also. Before I caught it it had caused havoc with my guage cluster and that needed replacing also...

 

The OEM windshield has a problem leaking because of the way it was seated against the body. Mine leaked, I resealed it (the top corners) and it hasn't leaked since

 

Does your truck have a sunroof? If not, the issue will be at the top of the windshield. If you pull your head liner down just a little bit, you should be able to see water leaking in if you run a hose over it. I do auto glass. That is how I check every one. Whatever you do, do not use silicone. Silicone causes rapid rust on painted metal surfaces. Use a windshield urethane.

 

Ended up just getting a new windshield. I tried resealing it myself, but that didn't work. Got Safelite to put a new one in, lifetime warranty on the sealant and work.
