how much over stock hp are you tuning to?

 

I usually use the performance setting +75HP, The Max power this tuner "Claims" is +140HP
Are these numbers safe for the stock tranny tuning? I know its nothing compared to the Spartan tunes.

 

I wouldnt run more than 50 hp over stock without trans tuning

 

i would get a trans tune but hey its your pony ride her how you want

 

Can someone explain the trans tune to me? Never heard of it with the Dodges so I want to make sure I do it right with the new Ford.

Transmission tuning is done through the TCM to control the transmission. It controls line pressure, converter lock-up, shift pattern, etc.

 

So do all the tuners (Spartan, H&S, SCT) come with these transmission tunes? Is there a standard tune that comes with the tuner or can you adjust them to your needs?

 

h&s you can pick different ones,not sure about spartan or sct

 

SCT you can either pick stock or firm with just the tunes that come on it. I believe if you get the whole Innovative Diesel suite package they have a few different ones to choose from. I've only got a single tune from Innovative and to the best of my knowledge you only get Firm shifts with it.
