I thought it'd be interesting to see how many 7.3's are out there with over 300K miles. We all know of "some guy" with a high mileage 7.3, so lets limit this to actual owners of trucks that have surpassed the 300,000 mark.
While a pic of the odometer will add validity, it's not necessary.

For the really higher mileage trucks, try to include any major repairs you've done, as that's going to be the first thing people will ask you.

Warning; this thread may cause Jealousy for some Cummins owners!

Although I only have 120k on mine. My old roommates. Both moved etc.

Scott has a 97 with 320 something. Daily driving in Florida now.

Eric also has a 97 last time we talked little over 349k he's rebuilt his trans and front axel and some minor HPOP related stuff. Yet don't do the online thing so hope ya don't mind.

2001 F350: 323,000 just bought October 2015. Injectors where change at 235,000. I'm changing the battery cables, starter and up pipes. Runs and drives great.

My horseshoeing friend had 325k on his '01 the last time I asked which was a few months ago. Truck is used day in and day out for his business. He had the trans rebuilt (4r100) at 275k when it finally went out and replaced the original injectors soon before 325k when I talked with him. Most all of the miles have been put on by him. Other than regular maintenance, those are only two "issues" that he's had other than a wheel bearing that went out at some point.

The truck is almost always hauling a trailer of some kind. Truck is maintained well but driven with a lead foot everywhere. It has a banks turbo, chip, afe intake manifold, exhaust, gauges.

Mad respect for that truck and is part of the reason why I wanted to get mine.

I bought my 2000 brand new from the dealer and I have just over 540,000 and it runs like a top still. I just installed a new a/c system last week as the original finally gave up.

358K here

My 01 350 has 358K on it now and had 340K on it when i bought in June 2013, don't have a current odo pic but will get one later and attach. I'm the 3rd owner with the research I've done, originated in TX and I'm in KS. I've changes all the fluids out, rebuilt the turbo and fuel bowl, reringed the injectors, up-pipes, batteries and cables, starter, glowplugs and solenoid, 6637 filter. Not sure on the age of the trans but has been doing fine with a flush, fluid and filter change and changed the solenoid pack in the trans due to a shifting issue. She's never been chipped and runs and drives great...will be with me for a long time to come.

Does it still have the original injectors in it?

You know, with the 7.3, it doesn't seem to matter if they are chipped or not as far as longevity goes. I know of a couple of them that have well over 300K that are chipped, and have been for over 10 years, one since new. The transmissions are another story with that regard, but the engine is a real anvil that takes a beating year after year.
As much as I miss my 2014 6.7 for its quiet and smooth ride, I love the reliability and simplicity of my 7.3.

I've seen several 7.3s with near 500K on the original injectors. A friend finally replaced his at 660K. You won't see this kind of injector life out of any of the newer trucks of any brand as they fire around 5 times per stroke, where ours fire once per stroke.

I have a friend who is a Ram Diesel Technician. He said that the 6.7 Cummins injectors are completely worn out at 100K miles and that 120K is the maximum they'll last. $5000 for injectors every 100,000 miles isn't good in my book.

First time I've heard of this.
Cant find anything related to this topic on CF or Comp D.
I'm only at 127K miles on stock injectors, with bigger nozzles.

My boss is at over 300k miles on original injectors. No issues

Im sitting at 435k nothing internal has been touched, only thing that has went out was a fromt main seal in the transmission (401k) and an oring on that plug in the back of the hpop (425k) this summer i'll see how long she'll put up with a kc 38r and some hybrids. Hopefully itll be a while before something pops!
