They are painted into the paint, BUT they are a sticker applied to the base coat and then the clear is shot over them.

I have an 07 light blue with the black and grey ones and I am currently fixing a snow accident bed crumple situation and was schooled on this by the adjuster and body shop.

But, they do have a part number...I dont know what it is. I will look at my estimate and see if I can get the driver rear one that will be replaced on mine.

I see you are in Norway, so local sign shops might not have the latest and greatest high speed vinyl graphic printing machines we do here for fairly cheap prices.

I truly understand the desire to want those specific flames...I fell in love with the harley truck style I have now back in 2007, in the base exchange parking lot on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in California. It was a long bed, blue truck like mine with the black and grey flames. Pristine, brand new, clean. Loved it. I settled for a 2010 black Harley truck long bed and just wasnt happy with her just because it wasnt blue, and wasnt that style I fell in love with. Traded her on a 2012 CTS-V sedan in Opulent Blue...then less than a year later, the Caddy was stolen in Louisiana and dumped in a bayou.

I found the blue truck in Texas while I was in mourning over the Cadillac. Now I wouldnt sell her for anything. Its my dream truck.

SO, I understand that if you get some thing in your head, you want that thing, not something a little different. Of course, I think I am going to do what I think might be a cooler improvement to the flame job on mine in the near future!

If you want, PM me with your email address. I will take a bunch of nice pics of the flames from front to back on each side and maybe you can have a skilled painter scuff your truck and lay out the flames, shoot em, and then clear over them so they look stock.

i have a black 06 f350 harley and i have the blue shade ghost flames on mine, and yes they are painted on to the base paint, for example my black paint goes first then ford has a stencil for the flames which you can get, then on go the flames then clear coat, if they were sticker i'd prob take em off to but they grew on me, i also love my truck i will never sell it :ford:

This was my truck back in 2003 before Harley came out with their flame design. My dad and I painted the flames along the side. Several months later when we saw our first gray w/black flames Harley F-250, we thought somebody was trying to copy us lol
