It's just idle. Place,ent of the vanes at idle in x position makes a rumble vs x position that makes a hiss.

 

It cant be just idle as it sounds quite a bit different when running as well

Just a flopro race pipe with stock rear half. It is significantly louder at higher rpms that rumble I've noticed

It's a 15 not a 17 and I will try to take a video but my phone wont capture it real well I'm sure

 

Also I have noticed that kybtruck does not make that loud "rick flare WHOO" when I let off the throttle like most 6.7, I wonder why that is.

 

Because you have a different turbo than the 11-14, they make the loud wish sound from there wastegate but your turbo is MUCH stronger and makes more power! But just not as noisy

As for the tyrant rumble vs hiss it’s just a vane location of the turbo at idle it’s either open or closed (rumble=open/ hiss=closed) that’s it not woot more to it, watch your vains % on your monitor during idle in the different tunes you will see the difference

 

Or you could ask who you bought the tunes from to explain the difference to you.

 

The folks I bought my tune from (can’t remember who that was right now) said the hiss setting with the vanes closed gave you slightly better throttle response from idle.

For my tuning the hiss can be present if the motor isn't up to the proper temp. IF it's summer time it will start up with no hiss.

I have the same exhaust set up and I can't hear it in the cab.
