I was informed that the oil leak that starts in motor valley and drips down back of motor and ends up at torque converter and drips to ground is due to this exaust backpressure valve located under turbo at intake in motor valley. there is a piston and a seal that gets hard and leaks . Anybody heard of this? The rebuild kit is $168 at dkdiesel. Seems oftly steep. I've always heard the leak was hpop orings. Trying not to waste any money any help appreciated. :dunno:

the oil leak you have very well may be the hpop o-rings , need to get in there and look around , the fact that its dripping makes me think thats more the probl;em than ebp valve rod in pedestal, which can also leak, but usually is more of a seep than a drip, not in all cases , but for the most part , no way for someone to make that call for ya , just have to look at it
