Well I finally got around to pulling the pump out. It measures 99.84mm/3.93 inches. So it does have the bigger one. I also found a stamp on it 10/1?/03 so it is still the original. I'll be ordering the dieselsite pump in the morning.

Called to order and they are still sure my build date is still the old one. They said the water pump update came later then all the other updates. I did some googling and found some info to back them up here. Not sure how to post a PDF

All wavey oil rails have the ICP on the valve cover. That is the change that made relocation possible.

 

I just gave Pinky at BPD my vin# to make sure I got the right water pump from them.

 

No, if it is after 9/2003 and you have the square egr cooler you have the 100 mm pump.

 

He already answered that. That's not the determining factor though so the point is kinda mute.

 

Where is your ICP located? Under turbo is early, on the valve cover is late.

 

Look here at the BPD site for thier water pump.

 

You have a post 9/2003 build. There is only 2 pumps. Pre 9/2003 and post 9/2003. My truck is a 2004 with a build date of 9/22/2003. Mine is the early build.

 

Are you positive that that's the only date stuff changed?
I even mentioned what BPD site said, my build date, and that i know its a late build and the still recommended i make sure before ordering. They said some 2004s are kinda on there own.
