Driving without steering stabilizer?

So I'm currently doing some test drives with no dual unit or upper and aside from having much easier steering and full turning radius again the truck is handling just fine going 110kph over bumpy highway with no bump steer at all.

I can't use un upper stabilizer anymore due to drop pitman arm unless I weld on a new mount, but curious if there's any issues to not using a stabilizer at all?

I'm guessing the steering box will get worn out quicker, but aside from that what's the downside to this?

The rancho shocks on my dual unit are toast so it's been removed and the Bilstein dual unit is sitting here ready to go, but I much prefer it without.

Thoughts?

They not there to help your road driving it’s there for off road or on road when your tire hits the curb or rock. And it will rotate it hard. Rip the wheel out of hand and cause a roll over. Thats what it’s on there for. Fine to drive around some without it but id run one.

Ha ha ha my city is the worst in all of Canada for potholes and sh!t roads and I've hit some big sumb!tchs already lol and gone 120kph over big rippled roads and steering wheel barely moved and figure it's due to the beefier 6.7 steering box and brand new front suspension still being tight.

I thought the steering damper was a must and now I find out I wasted $350 on the dual Rancho unit and damn near $600 on the dual Bilstein unit lol 🙄

My 6.7 steering box is from a wrecker and works great and could only imagine how a brand new one would perform 😁

I’m my last truck an 06 on 37s i hit a rock sticking out of a trail like 30 mph. It barely caught the side of tire but even with two shocks on linkage it ripped wheel out of my hands so hard it couod of caused injury. Whole truck bounced off it. Sheered the gears in The steering box and that was all she wrote for that trip. Guess in that situation even the shocks didn’t stop it from slamming to full lock

I might weld on a new mounting bracket sometime soon here and see how the gas Bilstein damper feels with the 6.7 steering box and a bonus for having an upper unit in place would be to keep my drag link fixed. With no damper locked in it's able to rotate front to back slightly and that irks me lol.

Hey, you ever head of a ball joint failing on a drag link before.......like while at speeds?
