Hey y'all, I m lookin for a new exhaust system and have narrowed it down to Diamond Eye (I think) and was wondering what experiences yall have had with them. Might do the dual system but not sure. Any pic's or opinions appreciated!

I have the 4" turbo back setup with the muffler delete. I love the sound of it so much that I crack the passager window to listen to it. I don't know if you would run the delete but it has to be cut to size for fitment. Otherwise the exhaust mounts up with out any problems.

I've got it on my EX, also the 4inch from the turbo out.
Great performance and sound - no CAT either for the 7.3 :D
But only complaint is it does have a bit of drone at highway speeds that resonates through the EX. But I could probably fix that with some sound mat.
Other than that - I like.

i have installed two diamond eye systems both have been great kits and install was easy.
straight pipe 4 inch on my truck and 4 inch with muffler for my dads.

i would stay away from mbrp, as of late they have had quite a few issues with fitment.

alligator performance has
4 inch diamond eye straight pipe 230 or muffler system is 260.
so not expensive at all and it is a great kit.

Not exactly the same but I had a 5" with muffler on my 6.0 and it sounded awesome. The install was pretty easy and if I remember right it was the only kit that offered a full 4" downpipe.

my truck is just louder compared to my dads with the muffler.

i think my dads sounds good if you dont want the loud straight pipe sound.

i was surprised even with the muffler you still hear more whistle than stock and it sounds deeper and is a little louder.

I did alot of research on these forums before I bought my exhaust system in June. I learned that it all boils down to this:

For normal driving and towing, the performance difference from the stock 3.5" system to a 4" system is huge. The performance difference from the 4" system to a 5" system is rather negligible other than the sound/tone unless you run your truck near its limits such as racing or pulling where every little bit counts and you are running a larger turbo and injectors.

I decided to go with a Diamond Eye 4" stainless steel turbo back exhaust kit with muffler. I have a couple of friends who went with a straight pipe and ended up buying a muffler due to the whistle which is cool most of the time but annoying when driving through a quiet campsite or neighborhood late at night. I left the CAT off but held onto it in case I ever move to a place where I need to have one.

The attached pictures shows the difference between the stock and 4" system. It installed really easy in my driveway. I had my daughter help with installing the first pipe off the turbo, she held it up from below while I loosely installed the v-clamp to the turbo. After that, it was no problem.

It made a very noticeable difference in my EGT's when towing plus it sounds awesome when under load.:thumb:

I don't hear any drone, just a rich mellow sound.

if you have the capability and the extra cash, dont use the supplied clamps, buy some stainless band clamps from parts house and tack the seam of the exhaust to keep them from spinning, and use those flat stainless clamps over it to seal it.
