Hi all,
I have an 01 F350 4x4.
In the last month or so I've noticed a sound coming from the front of the truck, I hear it as a reflection off cars or houses as I pass by. It sounds like there's a piece of paper or card that's being hit by the wheel, probaly at 2x wheel speed.
When i manually lock the hubs, the sound almost completely goes away.
I don't feel any vibrataion, or any other ill-effects with the hubs locked/unlocked.
I hit a curb real hard a couple monts ago that had the front of the truck pretty much airborne, could that have caused the problem?
If I pull the hub(s) off what is likely to be the problem?
Thanks in advance for any advice that people can give
