Hey folks I'm sure this is a topic that has been tossed out over and over . Please share what product's you guys are using that has yielded good results.

Archoil has a kit which consists of 9100,6200 fuel treatment, and 6400fuel system cleaner. I know that the 9100 is very highly recommended. Are the other two products producers of good results? there is so many products out there . I run diesel clean in my OTR Tractors for years Half gallon in each tank and ride. recommendations welcome..

OK. Sounds dumb but I stopped using Diesel Kleen simply because the cap doesn't seal well. I keep it behind my rear seat and if it happens to tip over, it seeps all over and stinks it up. I don't have a tool box in the back or it'd live there but I wouldn't be thrilled about it leaking in there either. So I just stopped using any additive. I've been looking at the archoil but man, they're proud of that stuff.

Anytime I look at the parts store isle, it all looks like rows of snake-oil and miracle juice (MEGA-ULTRA to the EXTREME Max Go-Go Juice). Can't tell if it's male supplements or Diesel Additive (Faster, Stronger, More Power, For Ultimate Experience use the whole bottle) so I just walk away intimidated and self-conscious about the size of my truck.

I know what you mean. I have a tool box, so I dont have to worry about that. But it is an issue when it comes to sealing it. I ended up putting a crate in my box with my extra oil, antifreeze, etc. Keeps it from falling over and spilling

They did change the seal at least on the grey summer and white winter bottles. Also I always squeezed a tiny bit of air out and screwed the cap on to create a vacuum. It seems to hold much better and I have some white left over from last winter that still hasn't leaked. I have a small plastic container not sealed like a mini milk crate to keep things upright and no leaking since over a year now.

I used to fill "syringes" with screw-on caps that were the perfect size for a full tank treatment. I kept them in a box behind the back seat. I've since gone to carrying a small 'crate' to house a few containers of various fluids, and store it in there.

I've been in those shoes. Jumping up into the truck on a hot AF Florida day only to be hit in the face with the fumes from a tipped DieselKleen bottle. That smell lingers for-ev-er, regardless of how well you try to clean the area.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the owners manuals state NOT to use any diesel additives.
Use a Top Tier Diesel fuel and high quality synthetic oil, changed every 4-7k depending on your driving conditions and towing and that may be the best way to go.

I just bought my '05 about 6 months ago, it had a fresh oil change of unknown type at the time of purchase. I finally rolled over 5K miles on it last weekend and changed the oil- Rotella T6 5W-40. Added in the Archoil AR9100, as well as OptiLube XPD to the fuel. Took it down town and back. The very next day, I could tell a big difference in the way it started up and ran. Much quicker easier starting, smoother and quieter running. I am a believer in this combo, as suggested by many others here.

My odometer shows 120K miles, but it's got a Ford remanufactured (w/studs) engine in it, and I haven't yet contacted the Canadian dealership to see when that was done. U.S. stores can't pull Canadian warranty/service work apparently. I doubt the original only lasted 15K, so I feel pretty good knowing this very likely has far less than 100K on it. Anyway, sorry for off topic.
