We took the cat and dpf off of my dads truck. Is it worth anything?

Worth more to you if you ever end up needing to have your truck inspected... I am keeping mine in a box in my garage incase the day ever comes that Minnesota DOT and government go full retard again.

If it still works keep it. If not I got $100 at the scrap yard.

I agree with crazy. I would keep it in case you need to put it back on to sell or pass emissions.

Used DPF & CATS

Not to get you jazzed up on selling yours. I recently sold mine after having it off the truck for 4.5 years. A mechanic who had rebuild job on a 2010 F450 saw it on Craig's List. I had it listed for $1100 and I settle for $1K. He told me that the truck's owner took the 450 to a local Ford dealership who wanted $25K to put it back on the road. This same guy gave the Mechanic $20K cash, which he took to do the same thing. He was shopping parts where ever he had to make a profit. He brought the old DPF by to make sure it was comparable. The old DPF was crystalized in a tar like soot. I mean it broke off in my fingers upon touching it. Apparently a re-gen took place as the turbo exploded. What a mess that engine was in.

Anyway, knock on wood I live in a State with no emissions control. no turning back now!

If we ever end up with visual inspections again here I am going to gut the dpf and cat and throw a filter back exhaust on it. I will be damned if I am going to deal with regens again.
