I made a saddle behind transfer case and mounted both my compressors on that. What I did was used two cheap oil less compressor air filters with 1/2" NPT and I used a 2' flex hose to the intakes of compressors. They where both 3/8 NPT openings on compressors so I put a 1/2 X 3/8 reducing coupling there so the lines where not a issue. The intake filters keep water out of them and its worked well.

You can mount yours to the frame rail behind transfer case easy enough. You just want a filter on it so when its raining etc water cant get into the unit. Hope this helps, can try Northern tool or Graingers for a air filter that will work for you.

I dropped my spare and mounted mine up there i unscrewed the air filter and put a short line on it with a quick connect to get the filter oriented so water would never get in to the compressor

I mounted it up there about 5 years ago and only peeked at it the other day when i replaced my spare with a 37"

it has been trouble free

I tied into the trailer harness and didn't use the shraders

so this was quick and easy to plumb and wire

I may need to make a vented box to mount my compressor in. My flatbed has a pt wood deck so it leaks a little between the boards.

I already have bags installed & plumbed to a schrader valve by my fuel filler. It’ll be pretty easy to tie into that.
I just got tired of the manual fill -plus I like the idea of the auto fill for the minimum pressure with the air lift setup.

I am guessing you can fill while sitting in the truck seat.

I installed my air system for two reasons neither for anything practical. lol

I ran quick connectors to each tire, mounted them in the center of each tire coming out of the frame. With 38/15.50/18 tires a spare is not a option. So I have a plug kit and a 6' coil hose in glove box. I can fill each tire as needed.

Train horns are the second dumb reason. lol

I installed both of my 8-1/2 gallon air tanks where the spare tire used to be. Worked out well so far

Air gauge for air system along with the quick connect for that tire.

Yea I chose 1/2" brass pipe on a pipe fitters truck

Now you guys have more options food for thought.

 

That’s pretty custom. I like all the copper.
I planned to make a an air hose to hook to my Schrader valve as well so I could air a tire in an emergency -although I’ll probably never need it.
