Looking to upgrade from stock to a nice aftermarket head unit with bluetooth, 7" or so screen, etc. Any recommendations? 2001 f350.
Thanks.

I upgraded mine with a Sony XAV-AX100.
Gives me Apple Carplay, Android Auto and looks nice. Bought it from Crutchfield.

Sorry I cant post URLs (maybe one day I will be in the circle of trust ;-) )
If you search on "Radio upgrade 2002 super duty" I posted photos and info on how to customize the Sony to your vehicle.

Order your stuff from crutchfield. 99% they give you the din adapter, wire harness for free! I installed a nice single deck in my 1999 from jvc and new front door speakers. It came with no cut speaker wire adapter harness, no cut radio harness, ford stock radio removal tool and din adapter.

I also used them to install new speakers and stereo in my wifes 09 forester and my spare commuter car a 05 corolla. Hands down best pricing, install instructions and customer service.

I price matched local stereo shop, walmart, and best buy and it took me more time to take the door panels off than it did to put in the stereo lol. I was very surprised.

I also recommend Crutchfield for their prices and customer service. They also now have at least 2 units that gave Apple CarPlay WIRELESS. Meaning you can just hop in your truck and your phone and head unit sync up and your phone screen is displayed on head unit. Just search “CarPlay” on their site. The alpine one also has a backup camera integration made by Alpine, which I saw all together as a package deal on Amazon. Thinking about getting it to replace the factory head unit in my 2011 SD. Let us know what you end up with!
