ZF6 with trans cooler??

 

Yeah. It's a Superduty 6 speed manual transmission.

 

You should be fine with either radiator cooler but for added relief I would do another aux cooler.

 

I just have space constraints in front of the AC condenser where the intercooler radiator will mount behind the grill. And if the Superduty radiator with the integrated oil cooler for the tranny will work in my truck that would solve the space issue.

 

Yes the auto tranny cooler should be more than enough.

 

I wouldn't use the radiator cooler. They tend to fail and put coolant in your transmission. I'm dealing with this with my son's truck.

The stock 6.0 trans cooler nearly is a direct bolt in, and I have those in stock.

Ok. Thanks. So where does the tranny cooler mount and will there still be enough room to mount the intercooler?

 

Front bumper is a good spot for the trans cooler.

 

When you set the cooler in, there are mounting holes already in the core support that line up perfectly for the ears on the 6.0 cooler. I dont remember how much room there is for an intercooler.

 

What's a good aux cooler for the ZF6? I have a rebuilt one I ordered to be installed in my truck at a local transmission shop from these guys, https://reman-transmission.com/transmission-codes/?code=ZF6. Would like to add some extras while I'm in the process of fixing everything.
