Add intercooler to OBS truck with a ZF6 tranny and external cooler for tranny

Hi there,
I currently have a 96 OBS with a upgraded ZF6 transmission. I am currently running the stock radiator with an external oil cooler for the tranny mounted to the radiator. I want to install an intercooler and am trying to figure out how to make that happen. I looks like the Superduty radiators come with an integrated oil cooler built in to the radiator. Would that be a direct fit where my stock radiator currently sits? Also, does anybody have any suggestions on what type of intercooler kit I should get. I know that Banks offers a complete kit but it is just over $1600. Are there any other cheaper options out there?

I wouldn't use the radiator cooler. They tend to fail and put coolant in your transmission. I'm dealing with this with my son's truck. ;)

The stock 6.0 trans cooler nearly is a direct bolt in, and I have those in stock.

When you set the cooler in, there are mounting holes already in the core support that line up perfectly for the ears on the 6.0 cooler. I dont remember how much room there is for an intercooler.
