So I need to replace my #4 injector. Is there a thread with steps or even just pointers or tips? And if anyone has advice feel free to leave it here thanks!

To me, driver's side is the easiest to replace. When I replaced mine, it was a matter of:
1) Drain enough coolant from system to empty degauss bottle
2) Remove air cleaner assembly
3) Remove Degauss bottle
4) Remove FICM (NOTE: Be careful with the wiring clips as they become brittle)
5) Remove valve cover
6) Unclip the injector wires (NOTE: I suggest pushing the retaining clip in and then pulling off the wire. This leaves the clip in the connector.)
7) Remove injector hold down
8) Blow out the hole used by the injector hold down bolt
9) Install new injector. Be sure to torque well! I believe it is 26 lbs foot.
10) Reassemble

I'll have to say.....first time I did this (albeit I was under pressure as I was 650 miles away from home) it wasn't too bad at all! Just take your time and be organized.

Also suggest that you take digital photos along the way as it's good just in case your don't remember how things lined up, etc.

And reach out for help as there is lots here on this forum. Good luck.

Look it up on YouTube and watch the sr master tech video. It was really helpful the first time I did it. Don't forget you'll have to remove the oil rail. If you have the wavy style then you'll need to remove the standpipe. You can keep the dummy plug in. If you have the log style you can just unbolt it and leave it connected. There's enough room to move it out of the way to get to the injector. Also get a 19mm 12 point socket to remove the injector connector from the rocker carrier.

How do i know what oil rail I have? Will it be obvious when I pull the valve cover off?

Also are the 6.0 injectors universal or do i need one specific for an 2004? Is there a difference between the 2004 and 2004.5?

Thanks for all the input!

Do injectors come with o-rings or do i need the kit? Also, any recommendations on stock injectors (who to buy them from)?

It will be very obviously which one you have. It'll either look kinda wavy or it will be one solid round "log" with a steel braided line attached. You're going to want oem injectors. I've had good luck with injectorsdirect.com they're $129 shipped. They have a few options though. And theirs come with new seals. Most should

Clean out the oil from the Oil Rail T-30 Torx Bolts and ENSURE you have the tool on them correctly, hold steady pressure until they "CRACK" loose. NO IMPACT whatsoever.

To get out one that is stripped, either Dremel it off flush, Cold Chisel it off then remove them all and the oil rail then unscrew the stub with your fingers.

It's not hard and the video above helps tremendously.

Watch/look for the copper crush washer on the tip, clean the seat really well and torque to 28 ft. lbs. Also the Oil Rail bolts are 12 ft. lbs.

Doing mine this weekend. AGAIN!
