I going on 255k egr in tack, BPD egr cooler and updated MC oil cooler.

 

7.3 gasser has been out for a couple of years now, pretty decent engine, they also make a smaller version of the 7.3 in a 6.8 variant. 6.8 is a v8 not to he confused with the 6.8 v10

 

Pretty potent gas engine. If I ever get a newer model truck, the 7.3 Gasser would be a consideration.

 

7.3 so far has been pretty good. It's a relatively simple pushrod, port injection engine. It does have the cam phaser and variable displacement oil pump though.

They've had issues with lifters delaminating but it's hard to tell how widespread.
