I had the same thing. 2017 leftover bought in Dec 2017. 7800 miles on the truck. Selling dealer replaced the gasket under my extended warranty. I can’t confirm what they used but so far it’s now leak free.
I assume they used the the factory gasket for 2017 seeing it was a warranty repair.

 

Change the ccv filter

 

Change it if it isn’t the sealed one. Ford seemed to use both in 2018. Mine was sealed so that didn’t help

 

Silicone was used exclusively to seal the upper oil pan to the cylinder block from mid-2014 through 2019.

 

Well my 2019 apparently had the upper oil pan repaired under warranty for leaking at around 40k miles. I bought the truck at 80k and it was bone dry. I bought a Ford ExtraCare warranty at that time to cover me to 130k miles. Today I'm at 101k and the upper oil pan is leaking again and it's along the driver side edge of the pan.

In a couple weeks I'm taking the truck to a reputable dealer locally which I have been told is diet plan friendly. I am praying they can get the upper oil pan leak repaired again under the provisions of my Ford ESP. If they can, I have a CCV delete kit waiting at home.

I find it very fishy that my new oil pan leak started just a few months after replacing my non-serviceable 2019 CCV box with the updated non-serviceable 2023 CCV box. I can't prove that the new box caused it, but it's suspicious. And that video SPE posted recently showing the new 2023 box cut open makes me even more suspicious. So I'm just going to ditch the CCV altogether. But first....praying that the Ford ESP will cover the leak repair one more time.

 

So as expected, even though the oil pan leak has NOTHING to do with the exhaust, I'm having a hell of a time finding a dealership who will work on my truck because the truck is on the diet plan. I finally found a dealership who seems like they want to try and help me, and truck is currently with them as I wait to hear the news. It all is going to depend upon Ford I think. They tell me that Ford is being an *** lately. They denied warranty on a guy's truck last week simply because it didn't have stock size tires on it.

If they can't get the repair covered then I guess I'll go to plan B which will likely be an attempt at a jerry rig fix to gain me another year or two OR dump the truck and go back to gasoline where there are no $4k to $16k common repairs.

Second dealer I went to is playing ball with me. Ordered the parts this week, said Ford is covering it, should have the truck fixed by next week. Sweet! Hopefully this time the repair holds up. Soon as I get it home I'm deleting the CCV system to give it the best chance possible of a long life.
