Hello all,
I've been doing a bunch of research and just have a couple questions for my next steps to make sure I'm on the right page. I have a 2012 f250 6.7l deleted and tuned through EZlynk with proven tunes. Truck has 167k miles. I get very harsh upshifts 1-2 and a flare between 2-3 and hard down shifts from 3-2. I ordered a SPE valve body instead of tracking down the individual solenoid causing the problem. Plus should be a upgrade with a trans that has 167k on it. I'm fully capable of installing the new valve body.
My question lieswhat I should do about uploading new solenoid strategy. I don't live near a Ford dealership but a buddy that works for the city has access to Ford IDS to program the new valve body to the truck. Neither of us have done it would it be difficult to figure out for a first timer? Also with my tunes what do I need to return my files to stock before programming? Or should I just plan on borrowing a truck to tow it to a dealership?
All the research I have done goes both ways so any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks again and cheers!
