Hey guys, I got my truck new and have always used Interstate batts. Now I am old, retired, and poor.
It's that time again and I need two 65ah batts but cannot afford my Interstates.

If I use the walmart brand or a cheaper batt, will I get any repercussions other than a shorter
batt lifespan?
Also, anyone have any referrals to purchase batts for my truck? Thanks for any responses in ae\dvance. M

Costco has Interstates for $115/battery + $15 core charge.

One last post this time! I had uploaded a post about more glow plug alerts. The Auto Club towing guy washere and he got it running. He left and I let it run for a little while. After shutting it down I ran codes again.
NO CODES FOUND! I am so happy and so relieved. The GP deal is a new experience for me so not much confidence going in to it. That's all over now. We did it together! Me and my knowledgable friends at the PowerStroke Forum.
You guys Rock!

It is at the age that a fuel pressure gauge might just save you the cost of expensive injectors (there are quite a few ways that can cause you to develop low fuel pressure).

The STC fitting is expensive to have someone do, so maybe just wait until it starts leaking - if it ever does (and same with dummy plugs and standpipes).

The coolant is a problem waiting to happen. It would be well worth your while to monitor the ACTUAL temperature values for coolant and oil. You can do that by watching the oil temperature get up to its peak value while driving on the highway. Then look at the coolant temperature as well. Post the numbers here. You may be driving w/ a partially plugged oil cooler as we speak (if you haven't ever looked at the numbers).

Ya you know this is my keeper truck.
I love this truck and have been looking at engine monitors for a very long time. I did not Google the things you suggest as yet but assume that is what I need to get started on your list. If so, could you post where to purchase & what to look for in those units?
I am 75 years old & still hanging out underneath my truck!!!

Walmart for batteries. 3yr warranty no questions asked with receipt. This reminds me i never did get my cores back to them. Anyway I got a NOCO genius as well to keep batteries up.

I gave up on Motorcraft a long time ago. Six years of life would be a remarkable event; Ford started to play games with warranties, and going to a dealership was not all that convenient. Walmart's batteries have cost less, last longer, and have no hassle if they need to be warranted. The prospect of getting new batteries in a short distance from everywhere, almost at any time in 24 hours, has made Walmart a no-brainer for me.

The Walmarts in my truck are dated 2016.

I'm 70, my wife is older, and the term 'diesel assistant' does not apply.
