had to drive my truck about 2 - 2 1/2 miles home after it went out. would not go above 35mph and run real rough. changed cam pos. sensor and it still will not start, turns over good and tries to catch but won't run.

There are a lot of posibilities. Did you try to put old CPS back in and try starting? Have you checked or changed youre filters lately? Is the bowl full of fuel? Did you have it scanned to determine it was in fact the CPS? How many miles on the truck?
I did have it scanned and showed the cps. truck has 215000 miles on it. I changed the filter about 2-3 weeks ago. I did not put the old one back, didn't think of that. do you think that "running" (if you can call it that) the truck for that long w/ a prob caused any damage to anything?
It is hard to say. I would try and put old one back in see if there is a dif. I have baught bad new parts.
