Dual. 30" tall tires should not need anything special. Get the oems and call it a day.

 

Get quality shocks once..Bilsteins. All thats needed are single shocks for a street truck.

 

sorry for the thread jack, but i was thinking of ordering a dual shock setup.. whats the differance between the hoop setup and the regular? would it be a softer ride if i added another shock? also i have 1 blistein 5100 now but could i add a blistien 7100 with the resi? or do i need to have 2 5100's or 2 7100's?

 

im sure you could run two different kinds of shocks but i wouldnt run two different shocks myself. different shocks=different performance etc. imo that is. im sure nothin bad would happen other than the shock with the most rebound would get more of a workout i suppose? im not sure abouth the dual shock hoops or having regular dual shock mounts but the hoops look nicer. thats all i can say about the hoops and that stuff. hope it helps lol

 

ya i know i dont need them but it came with them and i dont wont to change it all up. just didnt know if i had to get dif once cuz there are two of them or if i can just get two ment for the truck. just not sure how it works.

 

Valving is different between the shocks meant to be run single and those that are meant to be run dual. You DON'T want to run dual shocks that are valved to be installed as singles. Be sure you purchase specific shocks for what you want.

I think the reason for going with two is to combat heat build up when you are moving ALOT. I see no other reason. It looks silly. Yes two shock can fight each other. Two different valving styles for rebound and compression would act as one shock and have a completely different way of acting.

 

If done right, it can make the ride really nice. But I've only seen this done on a dirt bike, not a truck.

 

It can be done easyly on a truck but not needed unless you must have them for looks.

 

i am getting a compleat lift that comes with shocks i was just going to get 2 more of the shocks that come with it but i am guess i should look into it more so i get the right ones
