I have 02 crewcab shortbed with cold air intake system and evolution programer. Have cut out cat and am now wondering if the stock downpipe and tubing are sufficient with say aero turbine straight thru muffler, or should I go with 4inch exhaust with straight thru muffler. I do fair amount of heavy towing, EGT's got up to 1150 towing load up hill with stock muffler.

I agree OUCH! Jeeze man lighten up! Yet the 6.0 intercooler will help ALOT and the 4' turbo back straight pipe will help too. Water Meth works wonders, but so will propane. Get a TW 6 position Chip and have a blast

YES a 4' turbo back straight pipe will help lower the egt's It will be somewhat louder on acceleration, but will not have the even tone of the 3 1/2" exhaust
