Wheel help

I think I'm going to go with the 4in rough country lift, with 35in toyo open country MT. I'm looking for some advice for the wheels though. I don't know weather to go with 22x14s or 22x12s. I like when the wheels stick out but I feel like the 14 wides would be too much, so I'm leaning more towards the 12 wides. If I do run the 12s are wheel spacers a bad idea??? If you could, please post some pictures of your trucks with 12 wides or 14 wides. Any advise helps

Thanks, Christian

A 10" rim is plenty wide for 35" tire's if they are 12.50s. If they are 14.50s then a 12" rim will be okay. Personally I would not use spacers especially on the steer axle

Never a good idea. Wheels and backspacing etc are designed to keep the center of the wheel over the load bearing part of the axle....the hub etc.

I've seen too many spacers fail and everyone does it for the wide stance stuff that seems to be cool. You are greatly sacrificing reliability and wear and tear on parts.

typical front steer axle OEM spacer used on a dually

ford dana 80 ( most dually ) rear spacer

you can see the distance to bearing center has changed dramatically

if you use a spacer make sure you get the proper style (ie hubcentric) and a good brand

every dually with oversized tires runs a dually spacer between the rim

but you eliminate any user error or product failure point by not running a spacer

same can be said for keeping with stock wheels and tires i guess

Just get spacers for the rear and 12 wides will be good. OBS trucks, the 10.25" rear track width is 4" narrower than the front Dana 60. Don't use spacers up front. Get two 2" spacers for the back.

I've got 20x12 SOTA Awols, -51 offset I believe, and they stick out a lot. That's with 2" spacers in the rear just to correct the track width. There are no spacers up front.
