Does the universal garage door opener in a 2015 Super Duty work if key is turned off. Would like use it, but my truck stays outside, and don't want someone to be able to break in my truck and open my garage door.

My '13 F-350 and wife's '15 Explorer both work with the key off. I have the same fear and have thought about erasing the code but it sure is convenient. I guess if someone wants in my garage bad enough they will with or without the opener.
I never thought about that risk, but there's a 1 in 3 chance they'll press a button which hasn't been programmed yet.
Just change it to switched power. Shouldn't be too terribly hard, unless that erases the memory. Do you have to reprogram it if you disconnect your batteries?
