Need help =[
Getting the p0106 and p0100 codes. I know all about this topic because two years ago I got these codes, i went online and did my reading and found out that i needed to unplug the nox sensors because of salt water.... at the time for whatever reason i only unplugged the front one and greased it up and sealed in a bag. i also replaced fuse 35 or 36 i forget which. but it was blown and i replaced it. PROBLEM WAS FIXED for about two years up until last week. last week i got the same codes as two years ago. immediately i checked my seal job on the front nox sensor plug and there was some nasty salty water inside the bag. i took it all apart and cleaned up the connector dried it off and greased it up and re sealed it. then i checked my fuse and it was NOT blown to my surprise. after doing some reading i discovered there ws a rear NOX sensor module too. i went down under my truck and disconnected the plug from it and it greased it up and bagged it. checked my fuse again and still not blown.

SOOOO now i have two plugs sealed up good and a working fuse and still check engine lights. i tried clearing them and they come back.

some people on other forms say you need those modules others say you dont.

my truck has no emissions equipment on it so i cant see why i would need those modules. i know the glow plug wire somehow ties into those modules but if they are unplugged and sealed up shouldnt it be okay??? any help from anyone? its very very cold in chicago and i need my glow plugs back!

2015 f350 6.7 deleted

Thanks all!

@joemanhp4 - I had the exact problem you did. I live just north of Detroit and I deleted my truck (2013 F350), forgot to unplug the rear NOX sensor and CEL came on and changed out fuse 36 since it blew. About two years later (in winter), CEL came back on with the same codes you have, eventually went out on its own.

Well this past October/November when it started getting cold again here, it came back on with same code. I untaped every plug sprayed them all with contact cleaner and filled the plugs with dielectric grease and covered each one with the finger tips of rubber gloves and tapped them all back up. I physically removed both of my NoX sensors from my truck and put them in my toolbox. I deleted the code through my H&S Mini Maxx and I have not seen it come back on yet. I also cleaned all my battery terminals especially the battery that the wire from my tuner is connected too. I do not know if it was all coincidental, so far so good (fingers crossed).

Thanks for the input. im beating my head against a wall about this. A gentleman on another form replied to my post and mentioned disconnecting the 3rd connector by the firewall and doing some test drives. this connector is apparently ALL of the emissions plugs. they even sell a cap. ill post the link he gave me for the cap. apparently you can test it without the cap and see if it solves the problem but the cap is suggested.

Update. Unplugged 3rd plug under hood and still getting cel lights after clearing them a few times. I dont get it. Starting ti think i fried somthing somewere else?

2015 Deleted GDP tuned. U0074 consistent and sometimes accompanied by u0106. Unplugged emission BUS from PCM, same thing. Get code at start up or during warm up idle. Clear them and don't come back until next key cycle.

Anyone have the pinout or wiring diagram for the Glow Plug Control Module? Also thinking with the GPCM running the Urea Tank Heater something might be going on there.

Did you guys try switching back to the stock tune and re-uploading the tunes to your truck? Worked for me to get rid of these codes.

Did you ever find a fix for this? I am having the same exact thing going on.

Ok, I spent some time attempting to solve this issue. The only culprit was the glow plug relay giving up. Replaced it with a used one ($75 vs $550 for a new one) replaced the #36 fuse a couple times, and tada... no error codes. After speaking with a diesel mechanic, he informed me that 9 out of 10 it is the relay giving fits no matter if it is deleted or otherwise. Without the relay, you will have a hell of a time starting your truck in the cold and smoke will constantly pour out upon starting till warm. The relay is under the battery on the passenger side and removing the fender liner is the easiest way to access and test it. They are prone to giving out at any given time. Depends on your location.

Note: aftermarket relays are useless on these trucks. Must be OEM to operate properly.

Hope this input helps solve your issue before it's too cold to turn over.
