Transfer case 4WD solenoid

Hello all, having some issues! I have a 2004 f-350 6.0 auto transmission, 4WD. While driving randomly I will get a lack in power and a change in noise from the truck. I pulled codes using forscan and I have a P1832- transmission transfer case 4WD solenoid circuit failure. I can only assume my symptoms, and that code are related, but while looking for a part number I drew a total blank. I couldn’t find anything..

So does anyone have a part number they know of? And I assume that solenoid is internal, am I correct?

I'm assuming this is what you want. I believe it's about an inch back from the passenger side battery negative terminal.

Doing that search technically speaking shows parts for 2007-2010 trucks, I assume the parts are the same for my 2004?

Yup. Riffraff has the same part number saying 99-10 (although out of stock)

I can not see why your lack of power would be relayed to that issue ?

the only way I can describe what I feel is like someone deployed parachutes attached to my truck for like 2-3 seconds and then it goes away. Only started yesterday, and that was the only new code I had on my truck so that’s what I figured. I really have no idea though, that was just my guess

Gonna replace that vacuum solenoid? Only use the Ford part, the others do not work properly
