Anyone ever run the Radial offering from Interco tire, the Super Swamper Vortrac? Any thoughts or feedback?

tires

Not yet. I was thinking of buying those tires. I have been running the trxus mt
. I would get them syped for better tracrtion in the snow. THey would look great and work great but were not that practical for long road trips. They would eat gas and would wear easily. Therefore I am thinking the Vortrac would be more practical. Let me know if you got a set. I am thinking about buying a set as soon as I can figure out what size wheel to buy

I've heard Interco tires are hard to balance or keep balanced. These tires are tempting because of the price ... but, I wonder why are they so much less in cost than other major brands in the same size and tread styles. It would suck to buy these and be miserable because they won't balance. Maybe Interco has worked the problem out, though. Try 'em and let us know

I bought a set beginning of winter, the traction is great, rain, snow, ice, they took more wheel weights than I've ever seen installed to balance them out. They are smooth and fairly quiet. My only complaint is the compound is soft, which explains the great traction in inclimate conditions, so they are wearing really quickly. guess thats the tradeoff. I wont buy them again. Toyos are next.

Only tire available anymore in 35 x 12.50 x 16.5 So far I like them, more tread than my BF Goodrich KO's (had to re-clearance bumper skirt). Had to wait almost two months for them to be made and delivered via truck. The local tire shop I used didn't voice any issues about mounting or balancing them. So far they are a lot quieter and seem to ride and track fine. I like that they are a 65psi max tire vs the 50 psi my BFG's were. Hopefully they work fine as it would have been six months to have the Centerlines I like made in a 16" or 17". I barely put 5000 miles a year on this truck anymore (2004 F250 6.0) so they will probably dry rot first like the BFG's did.
